Also, there's no moment of greater punctuated uncertainty. If I was in absolute pain and I was 100% sure there were no interventions left, thats an easy decision. But 99.9%? 80%? Existential crises coupled with physical agony before death bleeds into the fear of no longer living.

Even that is not an easy decision. The life-force is strong. I'm watching a friend go through that now. What seems easy on paper, isn't.
