The 3D technology was probably the saving grace for Avatar... Well, that and the millions they spent on marketing.

Hah. Yep. That's exactly the first time I saw a 3D movie. It was like, "wow, neat!" Then I saw it for Batman or something and it very quickly moved to "let's not do that again."

I don't know how to feel about it. I don't mind it, if it's done well. When a movie is clearly shot for a 3D experience, then you watch it in 2D, that's when it gets really cringey for me. Saw the new Avengers movie last night in 3D and it didn't bother me at all.
