Oh, 100%. And, a whiteboard (or @getRocketbook) with a fat black marker that makes detail hard to put down, too. But, for me, most of that is related to understanding your problem. The solving part is usually easier.

In physics, solving and understanding are almost the same. Depending on your coordinates, a problem can look vastly different - from simple to unsolvable.
