2/ "Pluto is a planet." This is no longer accepted as true. Additional observational data lead scientists to narrow the definition of what constitutes a planet, so that the term had a more useful meaning.

3/ "You can't take the square root of a negative number." Yes, you can. In fact, algebra doesn't work if you can't. But, at that early point in your education, pedagogy (rightly or wrongly) dictated that you shouldn't venture into complex numbers yet.

4/ "Blood in your veins is blue because it's deoxygenated." No, blood is red, oxygenated or not. (This is one of the most remarkable ones, because you'll find so many of people who heard this from elementary school teachers in relatively recent history.)

After this tweet I've tried searching but a lot of sites seem to claim that the meteor theory is at least not settled on. Where do I find evidence of where the consensus lies?
