I’ve tried lots of writing and coding methodologies. Sadly, the most productive (in both domains):
1. write stuff;
2. edit it;
3. throw some or all of it away;
4. until out of time, goto 1.
Seems like TINSTAAFL in thinking hard. And, satisfaction is ever-elusive.

If it’s never to be used again, don’t beat yourself up over it. At least you’re ok with throwing stuff away. Took me awhile to be ok with writing code I knew was going to be thrown away...others will live and die by routines

Oh yea. I throw away way more code then ends up in my master branches. The joy of git
