1/ A quick thread on perception: I just had a retinal migraine. I get 'em about 1-2 times a year. They are *fucking weird*. It's a sudden-onset and soon-dissipating blindspot. But, just like your normal optic nerve blind spot, it's *out-of-awareness*.

Huh. They’re what I notice first, but then the blind spot doesn’t jump out at you by definition, so perhaps it *is* there first. For me, years can pass between noticeable episodes. Then again, I’m the sort who doesn’t notice most earthquakes.

Yes, that's what I've experienced a few times. Like, suddenly I'll notice wavy something and I'll be like, oh, so that happened?
