Hypothesis: Seamless intentionally underestimates delivery ETA. - Why? If you called restaurant and they said 2 hours, you'd pick another place. - If you point and click on 40 minute eta, they've already charged you. Anyone else have usually bad estimates?

Opposing hypothesis for take out: For shortish wait times, restaurants overestimate time to prevent customers being angry at having to wait. Hence the common "20-25 minutes" estimate when it's usually ready to pick up in 10-15.

Oh, I suspect restaurants do that, yes. Another reason why I think it's a vulnerability that seamless is exploiting. They get to underestimate n places.
