Are there any databases (or, memcache-like daemons) that handle CRUD ops with higher-dimensional (n>3) spatial indexing?

wide column DBs should be good for that, I think. Let me know when you find your match. I am no kNN expert.

snappy parquet or lzma on disk. It's really a q. of where you get data. if you want it fast load it in Cassandra. Tons of options from disk
