13/ It's counter to the (American) cultural norms but continual work is a bad habit. The end result is decreased quality and a fuzzy brain.

8/ At least anecdotally, most people I know who do remote work in tech (or are in
#gradschool /#phdlife) do the same thing. -
And those who don't have the focus/passion/confidence to sustain that observe reports of it with a mix of awe and some shame.
