Phinney and team did RAAM on fixxies for a few years. Can you imagine that coming down a mountain?
I'm moving from NYC to Boston in June, and back in December-ish when I was first contemplating the move, I thought it would be cool to send my belongings up in a moving truck, and then take a few days to bike up. Sadly that wouldn't be responsible to do right now...
That trek is probably a lot more feasible though, so probably a good experience! If I did mine I’d be annoyed by day 3 but force myself to do it anyway and arrive with feet worn down to the bone...
I highly recommend it to anyone Also it was one of the easiest things I’ve ever done (I took 2 months so didn’t need to meet any specific mileages I just listened to my body). If you have any questions about your inevitable trip let me know!pic.twitter.com/eKWWS5nppR
I thought that once.
I finished one century ride. I almost tossed my bike in the dumpster after that; first 75-80 miles weren't that bad. Last 15 were OMG..WHY???
