I just got an OOM error. I have 128GB of RAM, in case you wanted to know how big of a fuck up the bug I just discovered (and previously wrote) is.

I have a Xen server with 192GB of RAM that requires one of the guests to be rebooted every week or two to avoid OOMing the hypervisor due to a leak in one of the virtual devices.

Yeah, I still haven't tracked it down. As of right now the VM has 8GB of memory and has leaked 52 GB of hypervisor memory. It's been up for 8 days.

And is about due for a reboot. I suspect the leak is in the virtual network device because it's a very network-heavy VM (processing multiple 1080p30 h264 streams from my security cameras and writing them to a NAS). It's moved 1.7 TB of network data in these 8 days.

Hah. Uh...so, this afternoons adventure was supposed to be finding a good GoLang library for virtual network devices. I'm taking this as the universe warning me to just walk away for the day.
