I don't think federated social media models are good. I *REALLY* want to. I just don't think they work.

I 100% think trying to do so anyway is worth the effort. (Eg Im not-dispassionately routing for
@rabble rn.) But I also want to "win" in the sense of finding the intersection of <Is Better> and <Can peel off users>. I don't think federated identity can do that. Not enough carrot. -

Hah, yea, sorry. I'm gonna write up some stuff on it this week. A hint of it: I do think our attention gets hijacked by social media that deliberately tries to resell it. Bed of Procrustes thing. But, I don't think the sum of attention is bad — it's just social.
