(Oddly the part that reminded me is how companies fire employees for saying awful and offensive things, which makes part of me very satisfied, and another part feel like a corporate vassal.)

I reread it recently. It’s like listening to a favorite band’s first album. Good because it lacks sophistication. It’s concept of ‘very online’ is almost precious now. But the corporate mafia hit me harder now.

Hmm I’ve never read this, I should put it in my TBR list.

I loved the hell outta that book. All of his stuff really.

Love all his work, but love Anathem the most. I love his clever alternative to conlanging so much that the book has made it onto my Reread Cycle List - books I try to reread at least once every three or four years whenever I get the chance.
