1/ The question I'm struggling with the most for my @ycombinator app is, "why are you a solo founder?"
The honest answer is timing.
I won't and don't want to be one, but the opportunity came up fast, and not making a horrible very long-term mistake means recruitment isn't.
The contract was fine and the client was happy. We haven't worked together since though.

Would you think of that as discovery - you would never have worked well together, and you found that out - or creation - you now aren't going to work together because you had a tough time then?

Discovery, I think. Our fun projects styles aligned well. For pay, I spent a lot of time trying to the eventually convincing the client that what they wanted was a terrible idea and that was the part he privately wanted to do.
