This can have pathological consequences sometimes — like when some edge lord 22 year old says something and peer (mis-)perception makes you think it matters. But, as a positive effect, it ends to flatten space and distance in a useful way.

That sometimes goes wrong when you think you're an unconditional and universal expert — which happens a lot. But it's super useful when you remember how hard the hard thing you're no longer doing was, and how hard it most certainly still is.
