I'm actively trying to be a boundary spanner now. It's super hard when I see just a perceptually-endless quantity of tech / libertarian galaxy brain stuff. Except, if you take the time to actually visit individuals, it's not representative of the group(s).

Or, even, often, the individuals. You're more likely to see someone's bad take if they're in your outgroup than anything else. Give them some scrolls. You'll probably still think their belief system is wrong or even bad, but the current %agree is much higher than you think.
