Idk why I’ve gotten so anti-cloud computing the past few years. Loosely I think it’s because personal computing feels more liberating to me. And maybe it’s just reflexive contrarianism. But I should probably figure it out...

Cloud computing is both expensive, and its ephemeral nature means that I take it less seriously. Running stuff on my own hardware, knowing I'll have to deal with it if I fuck it up, makes me pay attention so much harder
