I'm not saying there isn't a lot of blame to go around or even that participating in the Blame Game is Bad but beyond some threshold it becomes noise, compelling people to use the most reliable filter they have: identity. ...so it's not very corrective.

Then again, this is politics and everyone is terrified to theoretically cede an inch so its all mutually assured destruction and we'll all go together when we go.

I think I realized last night that we are all terrified. Even my super-duper-republican friends that are totally playing this down are probably doing it as a coping method. Underneath they are just as worried too. Be kind to each other!
