2/ Then, we brought the preliminary results to the client who happened to also have (non simulation) subject matter expertise. He dismantled it about about 10 minutes. Like, absolutely obliterated it and communicated *exactly why it was wrong* to us with relaxed ease.

3/ TL;DR: Modeling is very hard to do well. Especially when it's a complex system. Modeling the wrong thing, otoh, is so easy it's default.
