How does it compare to the books? Are the characters similar? I love Naomi.

Avasarala, Naomi, and Bobbi are all Very Cool characters, in both the show and the books. The show does a surprisingly good job if staying true to the books ( at least the first two, haven't gone past that yet)

I also really liked the books because I think Amos is great and he's a bit more filled out as a character in them.

Yes, forgot to mention him, he's also one of my favorites, but not so much James Holden. I thought both the books and show did a similarly good job of filling out Amos though. What details of the (first two) books did I miss that further filled him out?

Interesting. I can't help myself. I love Holden in the show. I know I'm not supposed to like him. Have you read The Magicians? I started it, but hated Quentin so much, I quit. I love that show though. And Q.
