I want a Twitter client that uses ML to automatically tag tweets with rich metadata (and lets me manually and easily correct mis-categorization) so on days when I'm tired of politics I can just turn that category off on my feed.

@generativist Someone really needs to build that "Twitter Enhancement Suite" already.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

it's wild to me that it doesn't already exist, because there are already so many ML projects using Twitter as a dataset!

That's sorta what I was building. And I was personally using ML on my feed and own likes as a substitute for their feed. But, twitter is *really* explicit in saying: don't build clients. So now I'm trying to make a place where that's not just permissible, but its the expectation.

Yea. Their previous developer docs said it really loudly. And the lead dev did the same at a few conferences. If you're business is built around engagement shaping, you kinda need that component.

(I foolishly learned all of this and had some candid conversations with people I trust about it well after I had been developing stuff. So, yay lol)
