I'm at the point in Caliban's War right after Prax describes "the cascade" (i.e. green house collapse) when he's wondering if the dependent outer-planets would have sufficient buffers to absorb the SPOF blow. Anyways, glad this is a far-off space opera, right!?

Ok so it appears my reading list is just yours but shifted back a few years. Read Leviathan Wakes (I admit I watched The Expanse first though) a couple months ago and am now reading Dune, waiting in for the other Expanse books on Libby.

I need to do the next Dune books. I've only read the first (recently and loved it.) But yea, I watched the Expanse first, too. Glad the books are good though — mostly so I don't have to wait for season 5.

Yep, I'm going to keep reading Dune books while I wait in line for Expanse books
and I was surprised how relatively faithful the expanse show was to the first book. I guess it helps that it was written in a very tv friendly way1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

Ok, so as my KNN recommender system where k==1, what other books do you recommend besides Dune and Expanse serieseses? I have been out of the reading for fun habit until recently escaping grad school, so I haven't read much else for a long time

That's when I started reading again, too :) Three Body Trilogy was really interesting (although end of book 1 got really boring). Anything by
@itsDanielSuarez is a lot of fun. Delta-V was the first time I really thought about the new space-age economics.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

Oh no/oh yes! I just checked Libby and found that calibans war is on my shelf now, but also that I could have been reading it for the last 10 days and only have 11 days left! I must have missed an email...
