My essentials (in order): git, vim, tmux, Jupyter, jetbrains IDEs
I keep meaning to try this. I'm a silver searcher user, but there seems to be a lot of good ones that could great features.

fzf itself just takes input and matches your search string to it (not sure what algorithm it's using, some variation of boyer-moore?), it's a complement to tools like silver searcher and ripgrep
