Addendum: I forgot @docker. It's saved me so many times that I know of and probably even more that I don't because the heart-thumping issue six months later never arose.

Oh, also, a tiling WM. Any works, but i3-gaps with Regolith is what I'm using now and it's great.https://twitter.com/cakotz/status/1195510034765099008 …

If you're in Ubuntuworld the version of i3-gaps with Regolith is quite nice and simple to manage

I keep meaning to try this. I'm a silver searcher user, but there seems to be a lot of good ones that could great features.

Figure I'll go with the standard: Air, Water, Food, Shelter, Sleep Seriously though, Jetbrains is amazing. I've used it at a couple jobs and couldn't have done without it!

Yea. I've also been really pleasantly surprised by how quick they are to help if you just tag, say, @GoLandIDE in a "can someone help me?" tweet

Tmux is great to keep processes running, but I would put vim first because it does many tmux-like things - splits (:sp, :vsp, <C-W>s, <C-W>v) - sessions (:mks, :source, $ Vim -S) - terminal windows (:ter)

Whoops, I meant to imply decreasing order. Without vim, I'm command-line stuck anyway. But yea, it's pretty damn complete.
