As a general rule, I think it's inadvisable to flip the table over unless you're willing to clean up the floor.

This is something that’s been on my mind a bit... I chose “flip”, but ultimately there still need to be functional tables. So while I’m wary of the sunk cost fallacy, I also think we need be careful not to ruin tables on which some, less empowered folks depend.
