Misinformation as Solvent: Repeatedly sampling a particular political leader's position/expression and presenting it as the position/expression of some other randomly selected political leader.
Pretty much everything from public opinion research says we rely on the identity cues for judgment. (Although, some issues obviously provide loud signal, too.) Given chronic exposure to this treatment, cue reliability is annihilated and deliberation requires something else.
