The quality of project docs seems to be rising everywhere. So much so that I *almost* never feel like I need in-depth books to get me to 80% familiarity (assuming I'm working through a project). But in that missing 20%? Pain points. (I'm currently learning elasticsearch.)

Searchkick (a Rails extension for document-oriented search). My recent problems have been more about rapid ingestion of time-series data and architecture for some APM/log filtering stuff, so I am using other things now (and with Elixir or Golang instead of Rails).
