The world is fantastically interconnected now. More so than any time in our history as a species. And the interconnectedness is growing. I want to understand that! Which is to say, I want to understand globalism.
Hot take: I don't know the history of usage so this may be very off base but it seems like the antagonism around the word "globalism" makes people almost universally miss good points about control. (It's really similar to "federalism" in that sense.)

But the DiScOuRSE seems to partition people into those who worry about, a global government / NGOs and those who worry about, international mega corps and both groups seem to fight each other instead of realizing they're describing the same future control structure.

(Again, fundamentally, this is something I don't understand. I've never studied it and most of my readings have been at a popsci level. But it's just bonkers to me that this rhetorical collision zone exists.)
