There were *multiple* attempts at escalation since the initial denial weeks ago. *Multiple* different departments saying it was escalated.
It never was.

So now we're at the, "Should we just pay for the medically necessary procedure ourselves?" even though we have health insurance because no one actually has health insurance, they have stochastic out-of-pocket expenses. (Most people can't do that.) Does this make sense?

Alternatively, we're wondering about legal redress now. Not so much for an approval but...there is no ambiguity here: Without their constant blundering fuckups, she would have a chance at pain relief. The procedure is standard of care. They denied it. Why aren't they liable?

Yes, I'm pretty sure legal struggles against them are herculean task and no one ever wins. But at the same time, shouldn't we at least be a nuisance if we are in the position to do so?
