Seriously folks. Parallel discovery and forking paths are cool and all, but a lot less so when the reason motivating mutual ignorance is defense of a perceived territory.

To be fair non-ac researchers are ignored far more.

Often due to lack of publishing. "Trade secrets" and all that. Open-source flies in the face of that and is a good thing, and tends to bring ac and non-ac together on problems.
