Maybe logicbros? Mostly I think staunchly binary is a measure of a person’s social distance to something (too close or too far, really). But even for polarized contexts you can get people to progressively relax their collapse to binary by elaborating.

Yea maybe? Idk. I think realized broad absolutism is less common than we assume. And for me the problems of polarization come from when the particular absolutes line up in recognizable ways. But you alluded to some of the schemes driving the organization...
