Yea. I'm trying to build for maximum flexibility now because I *don't* anticipate being the one making the changes in the future, I guess. So excessive separation of concerns for future collaborators?

Aha, my "code for my eyes" vs "code others might see" looks different As a balance I keep functions/things relatively sanely modular (imperative style, not OOP), and leave comments as "IF dear reader you want to refactor, here's some ideas/shims, the rest is homework".
