Something I want to look at this week: What is the distribution of dyadic engagement lifespans on twitter. That is, once two people begin <regularly /> engaging, how long do they continue to do so?

I'd be curious how to account for replies to another person further down a thread, inadvertently tagging the original poster and inflating their contact count.

Oddly enough, this is *almost* what motivated the idea. For my anti-abuse project, I'm trying to to identify interaction patterns in threads -- like their graphical structures (e.g. is this just a u->v->u->v chain?)

And while you can see cool stuff from that -- *especially in the context of abuse* -- the frequency of prior interactions between comentions is a critical dimension. Two strangers exchanging twenty back-and-forth messages and two friends are *very* different patterns.
