My wife had an oligodendroglioma, how about you?

I’m sorry to hear that, Dan. (I had a rare cancer called chordoma.)

So what were the symptoms? What made you question the doctor?
-
Double vision. Chordoma is often missed but the big factor in my case was taking bad info. An ER doctor assumed I was on drugs or something and did tests that conveyed that to the next doctor who then wrote “blurry vision” instead of double, so the MRI was read a bit wrong.

I was paranoid that I had lymphoma in high school, went on web md and everything. Turned out I had a really bad kidney infection, but the website did help me consolidate my thoughts and more accurately describe my symptoms and push me to go to the doctor which I hate ironically.

I did that with my ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities. “HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU HAVE THIS?” *thumps down all her careful notes and underlined research papers on said things on psych’s desk* “Hmmmm...maybe you need to be assessed.” *peeks under pile of papers*
