1/ Hey, economists! Has anyone done good work that tries to estimate historical economic growth attributable to information sharing? e.g. What did Gutenberg's press do?

Probably need to broaden the search area, this is not a generic Q for them. You already supposed that there's no real way to separate cause/effect in such a complex history. However, from an Info Paradigm, all is recast in same light: the other causes are driven by info anyway.
