Nature! Sitting in the park today, and notice a small bird that seemed like it couldn't take off. I could see something bright green next to it, and assumed it was some kind of snake. Went over to investigate....

The small bird was holding on to & being held onto by a giant caterpillar. It was like a mutual destruction embrace. I used a stick to pry the caterpillar off while explaining to the bird that it was too small to be worth eating, and I wouldn't hurt it.

So, say hello to Lulu. I think she's a Polyphemous moth baby. She's hecka chonky. She's had a hell of a day. How do you raise one of these?

You know how nature documentaries can be a bit brutal? Seems that Lulu had been infested. Saw these buggers crawling out of her.
