Is anyone who follows me a researcher on or personally familiar with neck/facial pain? Someone I care about has been dealing with extensive and constant pain for a year, and can't find answers or relief. Mostly, I'm looking for any suggestions or help to pass along. (DMs open.)

Lots of good solidly researched, helpful information about pain issues (esp. this that don't go away) on Paul Ingraham's site

That's a really nice resource! I came to mention sensitization as something that should be considered and there's a nice write up on it there. It's something that many docs aren't aware of but can be critical to treating pain for some folks.https://www.painscience.com/articles/central-sensitization.php …

The other thing that I'll mention is that finding support is hugely important. I had a similar situation for a while and support groups and a mind-body clinic at a major hospital were so so so helpful in just learning to live *with* the pain while working to address the causes.
