Off to physical therapy to lie about how frequently I did my routine last week.

What do you do PT for? Just curious. I have my own little regimen (for a couple of herniated discs around L5 & S1) that I to be come across as meticulously consistent about in public forums

Five years ago I was deadlifting and a guy at my gym walked into the bar. Instead of dropping it I stupidly held on and herniated l3/l4. It’s grown progressively worse since then (from sitting I think).

Daaang. Yeah, so I busted up my L5/S1 when I crashed on an ice patch on xc skis some 7 years ago now, though I was sitting & running a lot before that too, so core strength was not so great. Replaced running with swimming since- doing laps has been the best PT I've found.

That’s where I’m heading, I think. I recently learned that my sprint routine was almost the worst thing I could have been doing...

Definitely worth a try... It was a game changer for me. Also replacing sit-ups/crunches with planking was important. Sit-ups/crunches will work just your abs but don't really engage the surrounding core muscle groups. Good luck!
