I would really like to know how many people who put "blue check"-like emoji's after their display name do so to mimic the blue checks versus those who do so to mock the premise.

Typical blue check backstory: someone was self-centered enough to think maybe, just maybe, they could bamboozle a rando Twitter staffer into thinking that they were noteworthy, and were as surprised as anyone when the staffer agreed.
