3/ But, it's a weird collective action problem. To actually cauterize his network, the level of blocking has to be on a massive scale that no one seems capable of mustering save maybe @jack.

I think that there is some actionable middle ground where people start to factor in that who they follow (and what they like) populates their followers’ feeds. With the current algo, “hate follows” and diversifying filter bubbles have spillover effects.

If you want / need to monitor some people you don’t want to amplify to your followers, use an alternate account.

There are times when I'm ready to see a bunch of hot takes on another idiotic Trump tweet, and times when I just want all that out of my life. The answer, imo, is crowdsourced meta data I can subscribe to (and even micropay). I want a premium web experience and would pay for it.
