For the past three months, I've vacillated between "make a fuckload of money so I can afford to get back East to see my close friends and family frequently enough" and "build something worthwhile" about two-hundred times a day. It's exhausting.

I think most people tell themselves they're opting for "make a ton of money and then do something worthwhile when I'm not poor any more" but get stuck in the logic loop where the plan to exit when you don't feel poor mutates into a plan to exit when you feel affirmatively rich.

Which of course then mutates into a plan to swim in a sea of gold coins.pic.twitter.com/KO0dTe6Lf7

Yea. I think generally its directional. You can do good things and make a lot of money or you can make a lot of money. The "someday maybe" never comes.
