For us it was either leave our family members behind when we moved countries, or fly them cargo. We took our cats and dog with us in the end, and they were well cared for by the airlines at the stop overs

I couldn't. I live with a wee dog from Chicago who was flown to Scotland once. She now lives her best life in Glasgow and she's spoiled. Of her owner ever had to move back to the US, we've arranged that I would fly back (because I don't need a visa in the UK) and she would stay.pic.twitter.com/J2YXyhMib3

At most, she would come back to Ireland with me briefly by car on a ferry. But she's 13 & a half and won't fly again!
