If they are hard to pick between, then they must be genuinely close in effectiveness space. In which case, picking one randomly is fine. The possible error should be small and bounded. Unless the decision has such a big impact that trying to reduce the uncertainty is worth it.

The problem, however, isn’t the actual choice, which has already been placed in ‘doesn’t matter' space. The problem is the perception of your level of interest by other involved parties. And the demands placed on your attention by them. To me this is an interpersonal problem.

Yea it’s mostly wedding plus anything else. I’m lackadaisical about basically everything out of my comouter’s terminal.
