Does having twitter open in a browser tab inhibit screen saver activation / sleep? Or maybe if a video is in view? Both my laptop and desktop keep staying awake and the commonality (without experimentation) is that twitter tends to be open in the active window.”
I’m probably wrong but that would be a needless waste of a lot of energy

it seems to be if twitter is the active tab and there is a video on the currently loaded TL, which is almost always, honestly. I noticed this effect some time ago.

most web video embeds have keep-alives so your laptop doesn't go to sleep while playing a long video, they must have the settings wrong so it doesn't matter whether it's "playing" or not.

Video in view might do it.
