It doesn't even need to be the same topic as what I'm working on. It's really just anything well written. Once I get to the point where I'm stopping too frequently to chew on my reactions, I shift to writing. And for whatever reason, writing is easier for me in that state.

I write better after an hour or two of waking up. I was probably reading during much of that period. Correlation is not necessarily causation. Or should I put the sentences in the other order? I just woke up...

Yes, see if it still works given intentionality. I suspect it will because according to both our entwined like histories and my general perception, our brains work similarly ;)
