To a lot of people it sounds fucked up, but some of my best childhood memories were pretending to be sick so I could skip school, then spending the day programming and hanging out on DALnet. Felt like magic.

Lol nothing fucked up about that. I used to spend evenings when I was ten dialing into BBS’s from the back of the MICROsomething catalog my dad subscribed to, shunning meatspace interactions.
