Hey I dont mean to be super annoying but can anyone explain this to me? I just simply dont get it. I fall towards the latter part of “the more information the better.”Is this saying that there is a better way to acquire &sift through info via the details? Can someone correct me

Say you're a 747 pilot. The cockpit should give you all the information you need to fly safely and manage the plane. Any more information than that impedes your task by consuming attention in a way that distracts.

It's all about context and designing your environment for the task you want to accomplish. (But, if your task is research — which you seem to be saying — than you may want as much as you can get...up to a point.)
