I'll go the opposite direction and say that some of the basic linux tools are huge time savers, but I haven't used them enough because I've mostly worked with Windows machines. Now that I'm using a Mac for work, I want to get better at them.

I'll also throw in a plug for Alteryx, which is a great ETL tool (although Windows only) and has saved me a ton of time moving and transforming data

I’ve recently started using rsync for moving giant folders to/from external hard drives instead of dragging/dropping in Finder and I feel like a wizard watching it go so fast
