I made this switch in my emails about a year ago. It changed the whole structure of how I do them, and now I think I come off as too direct or cold.

Used to do: “Hi <Name>, It’s good to meet you.” Now: “Hi, <Name>. It’s good to meet you.” That lost paragraph spacer makes it seem like there’s no greeting. But leaving it there feels wrong.

Also, I’m certain it makes me seem pretentious. And NO ONE other than my father-in-law does it this (correct) way. I worry people think I’m passive aggressively correcting them.
