I mostly use numba anywhere there is numpy code. It's pretty great. Today's use case was ingesting some data and packing it into this semi-compacted data structure that was a pain to do with pickle or matrix-efficient code. But yea, 99% of the time, I just numba ;)

Pro-tip: you can include cython seamlessly in
@ProjectJupyter notebooks using the `%%cython` cell magic, and then call cython functions from python ones without any manual compilation!
